I think the conditioning on the right side and fairway closer to the green is a real added and unnecessary challenge. If the trees were thinned and topped, then perhaps it would be drier and the grass would be healthier to make it easier to hit lofted shots into the green - and reduce balls running into the hazard on the right. This is the biggest place on the course where the actual conditioning affects my play. I’d much prefer to be center of the fairway 140-150yds out hitting a full 8 iron than closer or further right because of how hard it is to pick the ball cleanly.
Removing the left bunker and treating the right side as a sandy waste would be great improvements to the playability and strategy on the hole. Thanks for another great hole review!

In tournaments, #1 and #2 are survival holes given the risks. They can make or break your day. Caution is the watchword
