Note: my views on this have changed as I’ve come to better understand what the folks at ClubTFE are doing with their course reviews. I’ll be posting something at length and eating some crow, but for now let me explain what I think I got wrong in the essay below. Each of the course “reviews” is more of a lengthy discussion of why the course is noteworthy. It seems each course is chosen to be discussed because it’s exceptional in some way. Thus the eggs given in the review are effectively irrelevant to whether on not you should be interested in the course. I still don’t understand the egg system, and I’d like to see other values explicitly considered, but I do think the folks at Fried Egg Golf are offering something unique and interesting with these reviews. So, take everything in the following post with a grain of salt.
